As a faith-based non-profit, loving God and loving people is at the heart of what we do. We are grateful your congregation has chosen to partner with us in our work to provide affordable fresh food, create flourishing neighborhoods, and walk alongside people to attain their holistic and housing goals. Our offering theme for 2023 is “The Church Exists for Others,” which comes from a letter written by Dietrich Bonhoeffer in which he wrote, “The church is the church only when it exists for others… The church must share in the secular problems of ordinary human life, not dominating, but helping and serving.”
We work with local churches in a variety of ways. We have a number of Bowling Green churches that financially partner with us by contributing monthly to our mission. Some churches collect an offering once a year to invest in our efforts, and other churches send volunteer groups to help with various projects like painting or assembling community garden beds. Many of our regular office volunteers first heard about HOTEL INC from their church!
Mark your calendars for our “Loving Our Neighbor Well” workshop on September 26. We will hear from speakers on neighborhood engagement, Health, Housing and Hunger in the Bible, and Mapping the Landscape of Poverty and Organizations in Bowling Green.
